The first criteria is your skills as a mixtape DJ. The root word of MIXTAPE is MIX. You don't have to be a competition turntablist, but you are expected to blend a hot mix. Da' Hitman (Dallas TX) released 30 mixtapes in 2009 reaching more than 275,000 plays. His mixtape catalog included both major and indie artists from coast to coast and ranged from Hip-Hop to R&B and even Reggae/Dancehall.
